I Don't Know Margo!
Our Christmas was fab this year. I wrapped all of David's presents individually. Big mistake. I think David would have enjoyed Christmas more if all of his new toys, clothes, and books were all in one giant box. Unwrap one thing, play for a couple of hours. Instead, we practically had to force David to put down his Thomas the Train and open another gift. It took us 2 hours just to do David's gifts. Every gift he opened he NEEDED to play with it right then and there. I guess I'll know better for the future.
After all is said and done, we had a great Christmas this year. Filled with family, fun, laughter, love, joy, hot chocolate, and jewelry! Let's hope New Year's weekend is just as fun. Last year for New Year's I remember yelling, "Pause it!" (Referring to the DVR, just as the ball was about to drop) I hope I'm more prepared with the sparkling cider this year so I don't miss the moment!

Did you miss me?
By the way...Christmas isn't quite as magical when you have a toddler that un-decks your halls. In fact, it's down right annoying. I was ready to put the Christmas tree away after 1 day of David messing with it. And the only things left of our Nativity set are the stable and one sheep. David likes to carry baby Jesus around with him. Then he hides it places. Like the bottom of Ryan's work boot. Surprise Daddy!
I am looking forward to Christmas though. I'm excited to set out all the presents. That's right. There are no presents under our tree right now. You see, that cute innocent face up above is very misleading. He is very busy and curious and destructive. Why put myself through the pain of rewrapping gifts all month? So when Christmas morning comes around and David sees those presents, he's going to go crazy. I can't wait. I get so excited to watch other people open the gifts I've picked out for them. Even more excited for my own gifts!
Well I hope my update didn't disappoint. I know I have a long way to go before I can even compare to you bloggers out there. I'll try to keep up and get better. One more picture...Mindy and I used to laugh when people would post pictures of their newborns pulling weird faces and then talk about how cute their babies were...no they're really not. Newborns are a lot cuter in person. Mindy and I said we'd have a competition to see who could get the ugliest picture of their baby...I think I win! (I love my little baby, but come on...this picture is ug!)
