America's Next Top Model...

I know you're trying to figure out why I would blog about the show America's Next Top Model. I'm not. I just thought I'd introduce you to the next great male model. DAVID! My sister in law and I opened an Etsy shop, and David is our little fashion model. It's a tough gig.  He has to look in the general direction of the camera, and he has to stay still for 2 seconds at a time. Hard for a 2 year old. But, he gets paid in cheerios and pretzels. You can't beat that price! Here are a few of my favorite shots. And check out my store...we'll be having a Christmas in July sale soon!!
He's really capturing the mood of the cow here.

Blue steel.
Portraying a sadness that seems so real.

Hello ladies.
I hope you enjoyed my update. Just as I predicted in my last post, it was indeed another 7 months before I updated again. Oh well. I've been busy playing!

On a more random note, and I know I'm late but...How could Emily have let Sean go? Is she an idiot?! Here's to hoping he's the next Bachelor.

Funny Pictures

I finally loaded my memory card onto my computer. You are in for a real treat. I'm talking pictures from last summer up to Christmas. Yikers. Here are a few of my favs.

This is Ryan and David with Grandpa Wight. They're all wearing their fishing hats, although David didn't actually fish this year...maybe next year! I love how David and Russ are looking at each other.
David enjoying a milkshake. Loved it.
Chillin with Mama.

Now for a few choice Chirstmas pictures. We went to see Santa this year. This was David's reaction. Check out Santa's face..."Not again. Lady, get your screaming kid off my lap."

So I just held David for our Santa picture. Who can spot the deer? (This Santa visit took place at Cabelas. Which means I got to wait in line with David while Ryan looked around. Does that seem fair? Next year we'll be visiting a Santa at a location of my choosing. Maybe a jewelry store!)

David is obsessed with hats. Not just regular hats. He will wear anything that vaguely resembles a hat. Which leads me to the next picture. I like to call it "McDonald's Happy Meal -Halloween Bucket Hat" He wears this for a good majority of the day. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Don't worry, I never let him leave the house like this!

Here's David settling in for a good movie-Toy Story 3 is his fav right now. Mostly because it's one of the few on instant play Netflix.

I let David have the spatula after I made brownies. I love that using powdered eggs let me give my child the spatula!

Well, that's my 7 months of updating. Hope you enjoyed -it might be another 7 months before I have new pictures.

I Don't Know Margo!

One of my favorite Christmas movies is "Christmas Vacation." That's where the title of this post comes from. My favorite line of the movie...for some reason. I think it's because Mindy and I used to do the dialogue between Margo and Todd. We thought it was hilarious. Anyway, I didn't get around to watching it this season, and now that Christmas day has come and gone it's too late. Do you ever feel like that? I mean, we spend two months listening to Christmas music and decorating the house, but as soon as clock strikes 12 on Christmas night...it's done. I snap out of the Christmas mood and I am ready for life to be "normal" again. Wierd, I know. Is anybody else like that?

Our Christmas was fab this year. I wrapped all of David's presents individually. Big mistake. I think David would have enjoyed Christmas more if all of his new toys, clothes, and books were all in one giant box. Unwrap one thing, play for a couple of hours. Instead, we practically had to force David to put down his Thomas the Train and open another gift. It took us 2 hours just to do David's gifts. Every gift he opened he NEEDED to play with it right then and there. I guess I'll know better for the future.

After all is said and done, we had a great Christmas this year. Filled with family, fun, laughter, love, joy, hot chocolate, and jewelry! Let's hope New Year's weekend is just as fun. Last year for New Year's I remember yelling, "Pause it!" (Referring to the DVR, just as the ball was about to drop) I hope I'm more prepared with the sparkling cider this year so I don't miss the moment!

Did you miss me?

Well it's been two years since I updated the good old blog...I could've served a mission by now. What have I been doing with my life you ask? Well, I had a baby, moved to Salt Lake (Husband's job), bought a house, and now I'm living it up as a stay at home momma. I don't really now what to say on here, but I'm tired of my sisters hounding me. So here it goes. I'll try to come up with something good. Or I'll just post some pictures of our cute boy and hope that satisfies you!

By the way...Christmas isn't quite as magical when you have a toddler that un-decks your halls. In fact, it's down right annoying. I was ready to put the Christmas tree away after 1 day of David messing with it. And the only things left of our Nativity set are the stable and one sheep. David likes to carry baby Jesus around with him. Then he hides it places. Like the bottom of Ryan's work boot. Surprise Daddy!

I am looking forward to Christmas though. I'm excited to set out all the presents. That's right. There are no presents under our tree right now. You see, that cute innocent face up above is very misleading. He is very busy and curious and destructive. Why put myself through the pain of rewrapping gifts all month? So when Christmas morning comes around and David sees those presents, he's going to go crazy. I can't wait. I get so excited to watch other people open the gifts I've picked out for them. Even more excited for my own gifts!

Well I hope my update didn't disappoint. I know I have a long way to go before I can even compare to you bloggers out there. I'll try to keep up and get better. One more picture...Mindy and I used to laugh when people would post pictures of their newborns pulling weird faces and then talk about how cute their babies were...no they're really not. Newborns are a lot cuter in person. Mindy and I said we'd have a competition to see who could get the ugliest picture of their baby...I think I win! (I love my little baby, but come on...this picture is ug!)

Exciting News!

Well, most of you already know by now but we are having a baby boy! I'm due May 16th, 2010 and things are going great. Another bit of exciting news is that we are moving to Sacramento, CA for an internship. We'll be there from January to April, then we'll move back to Rexburg just in time to get settled before baby boy Wight gets here! We feel so thankful for our blessings and we hope you all have a good holiday season.

Okay...this is a lot of pictures, but I am way behind. This is a little bit of everything, our townhouse, our trip to Minnesota and a couple of random pictures. Hope you enjoy!

This is the living room...

This is the dining room....

This is the view from our kitchen...it's our back patio and our garage...

Blue Earth Minnesota...world's largest Jolley Green Giant statue, and Ryan standing underneath...

We stopped at Mount Rushmore on the way home...it was too foggy to see the presidents-this is all we got to see...if you look closely you can kind of make out the profile!

We had so much fun visitng my brother John, Lyndsee, Henry and Abigail. They are an amazing family and we miss them so much already. We really hope you guys make it home in August!

Ryan and Abby We had lots of tea parties!

Where's Ryan?
That right...he's with the townspeople looking at the Mini greet giant!

Lynds, Henry and Abs at the nature park...right before Abby got a mouth full of mud!

My brother is finishing up his residency at the Mayo clinic-the whole trip he made us call him Dr. John M.D. Just kidding, we did that on our own!

More of the Mayo Clinic-the view of the lobby and the view from the top floor.

More of Quarry Hill...loved it!

And of course, no trip to Minnesota would be complete without visiting the Mall of America, or as Abby calls it the Mall of the America. The amusement park in the mall was so fun, even though we were too cheap to ride any of the rides.

Ryan and Henry at Legoland-Henry's favorite! (yes...those are dinosaurs made of legos)

Last, but not least, this is what I woke up to one morning when Ryan and I were in Montana a couple months ago. I have such a cute husband!

Hope you enjoyed the update-it took me forever to get these pictures on so it probably won't happen very often!

Wow! It's been a long time...

Okay, so it's been about 3 or 4 months since I've written anything on my blog. I don't have anything exciting going on in my life, like a prego belly or exotic vacations...but I will try to be better about updating everybody about our lives, as boring as it may be. I'm still trying to figure everything out on the blog, so I will try to add pictures, but no promises here. And to Amy and Kristi, this post is for you!
